Roy Pendergraft, MD, ThM

Roy began work as the associate area director for CMDA in Houston, Texas, and the CMDA Texas State Representative in March, 2016, but he has been a member of CMDA for 37 years. He is retired from the U.S. Foreign Service after more than 20 years working overseas in U.S. Embassies as a family physician. Roy has a MA in Religion degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently a ThM student at Dallas Theological Seminary’s Houston campus.
He and his wife Cheri have been married for 36 years after meeting at a CMDA picnic in San Antonio where she was an RN graduate student representing Christian Nurses Fellowship. They are active members of Cypress Bible Church. They have two daughters, one son, and four grandchildren: Tori (33) is married to Brendon, and they have 4 children (13, 8, 4, and 2) and live in Minnesota. Lauren (29) is a home health care representative and Seth (31) is a hospital accountant, both living in Houston. In their spare time, Roy and Cheri like to travel, play hosts to visitors, and play with their rescue dog Molly Brown.
